No – dental implant treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel pain during the procedure. For nervous patients, we also offer IV sedation. After surgery, some mild discomfort is normal, but most patients recover quickly with simple pain relief.
With proper oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups, dental implants can last a lifetime. The crown or bridge attached to the implant may need replacement after 10–15 years, but the implant itself can remain in place indefinitely.
